The violet-black aronia berry (Aronia melanocarpa), also known as apple berries or black mountain ash, belongs to the rose family and originally comes from North America. 
The controlled, organic cultivation, mainly in Poland in continental climate conditions (with hot summers and cold winters), guarantees an excellent quality of berries with the most distinctive aroma. 
The exceptional fruits impress with their fruity-bitter taste and their high content in secondary plant compounds, especially anthocyanins and polyphenols.
